About the clock, Fedora probably thinks the system clock uses UTC but Windows does not. Change this in Fedora in system-config-time in the Time Zone tab.

Try disabling all your addons, then enabling...

Try disabling all your addons, then enabling one-by-one. You need to restart Firefox for enabling/disabling addons to have any effect. The place to do this is Tools>Add-ons.

Thanks. Something was messed up in my ~/.kde. Logging in as other users worked, so I deleted ~/.kde and am reconfiguring it to my liking.

I updated my kernel recently, so I rebooted. To my surprise, KDE would not start up when I booted back up. KSplash went fine, but that is it. Output of stderr from startx....

It would probably be easiest to stick with Fedora 8 until KDE 4.1 gets into Fedora 9. Note that this will not be right when KDE 4.1 is released.



KDE intends X.0 releases to not be spectacular.

If you have the original audio, you might as well rip to Ogg Vorbis instead of MP3. It's higher quality and compresses better.
