Re: dnf issue with EPSV FTP

Someone in a bugzilla bug I was reading said they set the "fastestmirror" and that worked around it, by default dnf doesn't use fastestmirror. I suspect it reduces the odds of dnf going to the same...

Re: Fedora 22: Unknown filesystem type: exfat

You can install the "exfat-utils" package, that will give you the support for exfat filesystems

Also, you can get fuse-exfat from rpmfusion in Fedora 22:

Re: Ugh fedora fails to update AGAIN!

No idea, the only way to know would be to watch all the repos, write down the time the packages show up and sit there and try 'dnf check-update' until it shows the updates and figure out the time...

Re: Ugh fedora fails to update AGAIN!

What's weird is that the metadata expire I have set in my fedora-updates.repo is

Re: Where to put log4j jar file?

I do all those, I have a $home/jars directory and put various jars in there that don't have packages in Fedora.
The CLASSPATH can then be setup in ~/.bashrc to list all those files I want:

export...

Re: Where to put log4j jar file?

You have Fedora 21, I had Fedora 22, 22 has a slightly newer log4j package,
Fedora in general is going to dump the java library jar files somewhere under /usr/share/java

The problem with the...

Re: what is up with suspend?

Make sure to use 'akmods' and 'akmod-nvidia' that way, kernel updates are way smoother.

The reason is that even if rpmfusion gets behind, a kernel update will just rebuild for the previous driver...

Re: Ugh fedora fails to update AGAIN!

I"ve found the most recent dnf updates help a lot, the main problem I see with dnf is they have it 'out of the box" too conservative with the metadata update rate. DNF doesn't see recent updates...

Re: Waking Fedora 22 from suspend

My Toshiba Satellite laptop will not wake up by mouse or keyboard, you have to press the manual power button, it all depends on how the bios and hardware is set up.
