Re: Extract source from rpm file

For any rpm file you've installed (and I don't mean the rpm2cpio way since that just dumps the files to a local directory), you can see all the files and where they were placed with:

That...

Re: PulseAudio vs. ALSA vs. MPD

This is my mpd.conf 's Alsa section that I have in Fedora 21 (mpd package version 0.19.2-1)

Like most 'conf' files, there's a man page for mpd.conf, it covers the mixer_control option

Re: Installing mp3 files fails on fedora19

"yum search gstreamer" would be a powerful tool to fix this, part of your problem is that Fedora 21 uses slightly renamed gstreamer packages from what they were called in the past (note the "1" after...

Maybe install one or all of:

gmsh-devel.x86_64
gmsh-mpich-devel.x86_64
gmsh-openmpi-devel.x86_64
gmsh-openmpi-libs.x86_64

all of those have copies of file "libGmsh.so" in them
(see "yum...

Re: New install 21 - No Go

Of course not, you can install any of those you want using the Software Installer. The big attraction of these spins is you can start limited and small (like using LXDE and small set of programs) or...

Re: Firefox and Adobe Flash plugin outdated in Fedora 21?

You did restart Firefox *after* yum updating the flash-plugin right? If you did, then try the below

If Firefox keeps quoting an obsolete plugin version that doesn't equal the on-disk plugin (like...

Re: Having trouble with flash plugin in firefox.

Try this:

1) exit Firefox
2) delete this file: $HOME/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/pluginreg.dat
3) restart Firefox and go to the Tools->Add-ons->Plugins

If that worked, that should now show...

Re: How to run a script after userlogon
