So, it worked. But not quite mindlessly.

Fedup did place the update as the first task in the menu. So when I forced a reboot, it did execute the update task as the first thing in grub2.

I thought from reading the fedup-cli would still make you select a grub menu item (which I assume is the last in the list). However, I'm headless and keyboardless so I always get the first item. And...

Angry FC6 Install Hangs at "isapnp: Scanning for PnP cards..."

Currently running FC5 on an older machine. Current kernel is 2.6.17.

When I boot the FC6 install CD, the initial kernel boot hangs right after writing the line

Changing 2.6.16 i386 Kernel .config to X86_64

I have FC3 running a custom 2.6.16 kernel that works great. At the same time I want to switch to using X86_64. I am upgrading to FC5 and am testing FC5 x86_64 on a spare harddrive in the same system....
