Re: How to Enable/Disable Power Mgmt while Running a Script? dbus?

This is a guess but what happens if you do:

The "systemctl list-units" command shows that upower.service is the "Daemon for power management", it would see

Re: Youtube.com... whot?

Also, you might want to not even use the ISP dns, you can set your system to use opendns, I have my primary and secondary dns addresses in my gateway set to

Re: Low disk space on /boot

try using the 'disk usage' command "du" to find where the usage is
this will run disk usage in /boot, show the values in kbytes (-k option) and add up the values only
one deep for the directories....

Re: Word Processor and Fedora Remix

That seems unlikely to be Java doing that, the Libreoffice page here says there's very little Java used in the shipped product:

Re: What do I do with *.rpmnew files?

There's a really nice tool I always install called rpmconf that helps take care of fixing rpmnew files.

Just installed it and run as "rpmconf -a"

Re: Installation of F20 leads to monitor going blank, need install logs

What happens if you use the Fedora 20 Live version? You can boot into the Live version, and by seeing it get to the desktop it would confirm that the video works. If you get that far, then hit the...

Re: How to install libdvdcss2 library?

Or even easier, skip downloading the file and use yum directly with the URL:

But if you want to keep a copy of the file for future use, then actually downloading it would be better

Re: Installing Skype on 64-bit Fedora 20

I'm confused by this thread, the subject is "Installing Skype on 64-bit Fedora 20" so I was assuming you were on Fedora 20, the results of the id output means you're not using Fedora 20. ...

Re: How to Enable/Disable Power Mgmt while Running a Script? dbus?

Look, I'm not saying my idea was good, it was what I could find. I suppose the main cause of
the lack of well known ways of power control for this is that most of the hosts doing things like ssh...

Re: USB 3.0 support in fc21

Linux has supported USB3 since about 2009 (kernel 2.6.31), Fedora 21 will certainly have USB3 support.

You probably just have a particular card that's not supported, is it an unusual brand?
