Re: Which editor do you use?

In terminal I feel quite comfortable with and use vi. In Gnome Desktop Environment (yes, I use Gnome) I use gedit. But sometimes I come across some text files which use windows-1251 encoding and...

Re: How to install drivers of newtworking card on Fedora 17

There is a driver built in the kernel for this adapter. And it should work. Though a quick forum search gives information http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=285184 it doesn't work pretty...

Re: GNOMEbuntu - Why?

Ubuntu LTS versions are rather stable as a rule. The last one - 12.04 will be supported for five years - good news! But Gnome3 in Ubuntu (Unity, Gnome Shell - no difference) is too resource hungry....

Re: new card rtl8192se -- slow slow speed/internet

When a connection is established /etc/resolve.conf file gets rewritten. After that there's no use of editing it: ip addresses are taken from memory, not the file. So you either use NetworkManager and...

Re: new card rtl8192se -- slow slow speed/internet

You don't use NetworkManager, do you? NetworkManager rewrites /etc/resolv.conf file so you don't gain any advantage editing it...

Re: F17: Worst upgrade ever?
