Occasional mouse freeze with FC3
I searched quite a bit and found some suggestions, but no definite answers or solutions.
My DELL USB mouse basically freezes a few times a day (4-10?). A quick unplug/replug fixes it, but it is getting annoying. The machine is a dual CPU DELL Precision 470 with an ATI FireGL V3100 video card. I have the default drivers installed by FC3. Any suggestions?

Update to at least FC6. Support for all version of FC prior to FC5 was dropped last July(?). Support for FC5 will be dropped at the end of June(last I heard).

Yep. Or better yet, I will just wait a few more days and update to Fed7, along with installing Fed7 on my home machine to have the same versions running at work and at home.
My much older dual CPU AMD machine with Red Hat 9 had a similar problem, but with the keyboard. I would have to do the unplug/replug occasionally. But since that keyboard was very old, I assumed it was the cause of the problem. But as I did a little bit of searching, I realized that these problems are not all that uncommon. I hope Fed7 will take care of it. Otherwise, perhaps I should consider an Enterprise version without all the jazzy things that Fedora bundles.
I have transfered from Unix to Linux platforms for about 7-8 years now, and while it is a great environment for coding, but I must admit that it is still not quite there for Joe Average type users, and the unavoidable hardware compatibility problems are often a huge pain to deal with.

Centos is a redhat clone (logos removed). It has a 5 year support plan. Fedoras current support is a max of 18months.
The hardware incompatilbility differences between FC3 and FC6 will shock you. Last I heard the big jump in Fedora 7 (compatibility) was going to be wireless.
