mounting a pendrive?

i'm using e17 (enlightenment) as a desktop manager no and even though it has some very nice features, there one thing i'm missing, automount external drives (pendrives, digicams) and i just have no idea how to do it.

anything to make it automatic like xfce or gnome? if not, how do i mount them by hand?

thanks

I have a 60 GB external HDD in NTFS format and I
wanted to use it on my linux FC6 ZOD. To access the drive I did the following

[1] Connect the drive to computer

[2] type : "tail /var/log/messages"
this will tell you the drive just connected. My output was...

=============================================
scsi 2:0:0:0: Direct-Access WDC WD60 0VE-08HDT0 00 PQ: 0 ANSI: 0
SCI device sda: 117210240 512-byte hdrw sectors (60012 MB)
sda: Write Protect is off
sda: assuming drive cache: write through
SCSI device sda: 117210240 512-byte hdwr sectors (60012 MB)
sda: Write Protect is off
sda: assuming drive cache: write through
sd 2:0:0:0: Attached scsi disk sda
sd 2:0:0:0: Attacked scsi generic sg0 type 0
=============================================

as you can see the drive type was "sda", therefor I need to mount the sda slot. but first

[3] Make a directory where all the files will be put from the HDD
mkdir /mnt/myexternalusb

[2] I mount the drive to that directory. MUST BE ROOT & have NTFS-3G installed
mount -t ntfs /dev/sda1 /mnt/myexternalusb

3. now all the files from the external HDD can be found on /mnt/myexternalusb

for example....

type: "ls /mnt/myexternalusb"

output:

testfile.txt

Hope this helps anyone
