easyLife - Automated installs and configurations on Fedora! (NOW FOR F9)
Hello:
You are invited to try this program out. It's a program in bash script I've wrote to help Fedora users.
Available for Fedora 18.
easyLife allows new and even experienced users to install and configure software on Fedora, just by mouse clicking. It's simple and clean.
Among others, these are some of easyLife features:
. Sets "sudo" command up for your regular user;
. Installs Flash Player plugin;
. Installs all kinds of Codecs;
. Installs additional fonts;
. Installs RPMFusion repository for extra and non-free software;
. Installs Skype;
. Installs Sun Java and Sun Java Plugin for Firefox (32 and 64 bit);
. Integrates Sun Java with system-switch-java (so you can choose between java 32 or 64 or open java etc.);
. And many others...
easyLife is avaiable in english (en_US), portuguese (pr_BR, pt_PT) and spanish (es_ES) and many other.
Get it here: http://easylifeproject.org
Enjoy!

I tested it on my installation, FC 9 64, and it worked great, in fact, as good or better than Fedora Frog. Congratulations,
Zero-Override, great scrip, saved me a lot of trouble!

I tried to install NOT on flash installed Fedora (already used for 1 year.... F7) from yr website http://eashlife.dulinux.com..... fedorafacil-20071030-1.i386 .rpm was downloaded to my Desktop. I double click it, enter root password etc and it was install. To my surprise when I click on new facil icon on my Desktop, I got NON English version of eashlife open in the terminal (my F7 is in English). I don't know what language it is..... but I know it asked for root password
Also after close the terminal, another problem occur when I click the terminal (Applications / system tools / terminal).... Instead of normal terminal which should have PROMPT user/localhost $ >, the terminal is BLANK with error message (in pop up ): "THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE COMMAND FOR THIS TERMIANL (TEXT WAS EMPTY OR CONTAIN ONLY WHITESPACE " click OK...

easyLife version for F7 (which was called fedorafacil) has no support for language. Also, as it's been a long time since I don't update that version, I really encourage you to don't use it anymore. Upgrade Fedora to 8 or 9, since F7 is also no longer supported.
Thanks

Hello, leigh and all:
easyLife is now avaiable for both i386 and x86_64. One RPM for them all.
Its source code is also available now via cvs.
You are more than invited to try it out and make suggestions!

Hi Duli,
You're making it too easy for the newbies I'm sure Fedora (and potential) users appreciate your work!
Edit: I've added your link to my sig....
As it's not a support question, I've also moved it to 'Guides & How-To Articles'
