Xscreensaver Problem

I have Fedora 13 i686 installed on a Dell Inspirion 1525. Almost everything works and all the hardware was recognized. However there is a problem with xscreensaver.
When xscreensaver is running and I hit a key or move the mouse the screen goes black with a blinking cursor in the top left corner and a couple seconds later a the spiralling cursor appears in the centre of the screen then the desktop loads and networkmanager reconnects the wireless connection.
I use autologin from dangermouse's script and It almost appears that stopping the screen saver is taking me back to the auto login to my desktop. It take about 30 seconds to get the desktop back

Has anyone else experienced this?
I have not tried gnome-screensaver.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem on my eeepc 700a whereby the xscreensaver caused the Xserver to crash. This would return me to the logon screen.

If your graphics card is Intel, this may be your problem. I saw another thread, complete with the xorg log, which exactly matched my log.

Sadly, I haven't found a solution yet.[
