Hi,
After a few months of no problems I find I have one after yesterdays updates which included the NVidia kernal/driver. I searched for a solution and spent a lot of time yesterday trying to fix it but still the same result. Nothing.
Although I have some sound the set up I had was affected after installing updates yesterday and when I start up Phonon I get this.
KDE detected that one or more internal sound devices were removed.
Do you want KDE to permanently forget about these devices?
This is the list of devices KDE thinks can be removed:
Capture: HDA NVidia (ALC662 rev1 Analog)
Capture: HDA NVidia (ALC662 rev1 Digital)
Capture: HDA NVidia (ALC662 rev1 Digital) #1
Capture: HDA NVidia, ALC662 rev1 Digital (IEC958 (S/PDIF) Digital Audio Output)
Capture: USB Device 0x471:0x329 (USB Audio)
Output: HDA NVidia (ALC662 rev1 Analog)
Output: HDA NVidia (ALC662 rev1 Digital) #1
Hardware details in signature, machine is 32bit hardware.
My question is, how do I restore these sound devices?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
