Question Consult about Oracle's JDK and OpenJDK

Hello guys

Where I can find an official announce from Fedora Core's team about why Fedora Core releases use OpenJDK or CGJ and not Sun or Oracle's JDK?

I have heard about a license problems. But I want read the official announce.

I assume should exists some differences between these software about their performance or other things.

Thanks in advanced

Re: Consult about Oracle's JDK and OpenJDK

Thanks for the link

Good to know about the follow

Java/FAQ
Can I run Oracle Java on Fedora?

I created this post because I wrote a tutorial about Oracle's JDK installation in Fedora Core 17 and I was concern about the OpenJDK.

Thank You.
