Fedora 10 upgrade FAQ

Hi,

Since Fedora 10 is going to be released shortly, we are putting up an early FAQ on questions asked so far

If there are other similar general questions, feel free to ask them. You can also sign up to the wiki and edit it as well. You need a Fedora account for that. Join and participate at

Can I upgrade from 9 to 10? Or do I have to start over? I haven't installed 9 yet, just wondering if I should wait, or install 9?

Ok, I have added the answer. At this point, you can very well install the Fedora 10 preview release and then run yum update when the release is announced.

Hi,

I don't have a Nvidia card to check but the easier way probably is installing system-config-display (which is not installed by default anymore) and selecting the driver from there. Won't be adding this info to the FAQ yet

system-config-display-1.1.1-1.fc10.noarch
xorg-x11-server-common-1.5.3-5.fc10.i386
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.5.3-5.fc10.i386
kernel-2.6.27.5-120.fc10.i686
