Firestarter fails with 'Gslice' memory error
Firestarter runs for a few minutes then I got
***MEMORY-ERROR***: firestarter[8023]: GSlice: assertion failed: sinfo->n_allocated > 0
Any ideas how to troubleshoot or fix this?
thanks

Yes: use a different firewall manager.
FireStarter code hasn't been updated in years and is stale. So is the bug report I filed on it: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=248905
Feel free to add your comments if you think it will help.

Maybe. I realise that the OP is using F9, but I do have Firestarter running fine in F8 (and every previous release), and Firestarter is re-built for each release, so perhaps these problems are isolated.

Sadly, you will continue to have problems with FireStarter, especially because it's now being retired from Fedora due to bitrot and "dead upstream".
Find a different GUI manager for IPTables.
