Fedora X

When will Fedora (X) stop?

In about three years we will be up to Fedora 20. When will the numbers end?
(hopefully Fedora will still be around in 3 years )

I hope it will never stop, and with RedHat doing so well I don't see Fedora ending anytime soon.

My guess is that nobody knows. Don't rules out name changes and different editions/spins of Fedora being offered.
A name change is a mostly on the spot decision so it will probably stop when the time is right or the name becomes outdated.

Fedora 11 looks better than Fedora 11.5.04.0003.45274. Go to a site like distrowatch and you may be glad the 11 is as it is.

When the number goes too big, just use hex-based representations. Fedora 0xbeef sounds much better than Fedora 48879

And screw Ub*ntu and its pseudo floating point(less) versioning. And I seriously doubt whether they could last till Zygodactyl Zerg.

Tell me you don't sit around with your coworkers and speak in Hex-Latin.
