No '4 desktops' after kernel upgrade

Hello,

My Fedora 11 Acer Aspire One system updated today from Kernel 2.6.30.9-90.fc11.i586 to kernel 2.6.30.9-96.fc11.i586

On reboot, the lower panel on my Gnome desktop is missing the 4 rectangles for selecting desktops 1-4. Also, when you open Firefox, terminal etc, there is no tab on the lower panel either.

Is there a way to get them back?

Right click on the lower panel and select Add to Panel... Choose the 'Window List' and 'Workspace Switcher' apps.

This is an easy fix.

1. Right click on the lower task bar
2. Click on "Add to Panel"
3. Add "Workplace Switcher"

This should solve the problem
