Thanks for keeping this thread alive.

I originally had gotten rid of pulseaudio (I really dislike pulseaudio too) and started using ALSA and I didn't have libflashsupport.

So basically I was experiencing this problem even after I had remove pulseaudio and didn't have libflashsupport.

Unfortunately I never got it to work.

I have had to revert back to Fedora 8 from 10 as I was encountering some problems with my X and couldn't get any help with it.

No not yet. I had a bit of a nightmare with pulseaudio and then no sound when viewing flash after I removed pulse.

So for now going to stick with what worked extremely well.

Did you install the flash-plugin, and also ALSA? Fedora 11 is a lot better, and faster the Fedora 8 once you get everything worked out.

Problem desc:
I'm having a problem with Firefox as I can see flash video, but can't hear anything. No sound. Or better to say I can hear it upon a fresh flash (re)install, but after restarting Firefox the sound disappears and won't come back since that action on. I aslo have a lot of plugins loaded (aboutlugins)

I've just installed Seamonkey (1.1.18) and there's no flash trouble I faced with firefox.

My solution may not suit well for all though, but it's worth trying.

there is a problem with flash and sound. when it breaks, go to add-ons/plug ins in firefox, disable and re-enable the flash plug in. most of the time this will make firefox crash. when firefox loads again, I disable/re-enable the plugin and it works again. it was fixed for a short while, but after another update it broke again.

Yeah I installed the flash-plugin and ALSA. I actually gave up trying to get help on this issue. Something was FUBAR so I'm using Fedora 12. now. Ran into another issue (separate thread) unfortunately when I remove everything that was pulseaudio related.

I'm using pulseaudio in fedora 12 32bit and everything works good now for me, maybe I'm just lucky. make sure you get all the updates and try it again, also make sure you select pulseaudio for all your applications audio settings. good luck
