I have a bunch of podcasts as mp3s stored in home/<usr>/Music/mp3/Podcasts/....
Banshee is set up to download subscribed podcasts automatically when it detects a new episode, this is working nicely and they are being downloaded to the location given above as expected.
However I have a slight problem. In that directory there are also older Podcast files that were copied back from a backup after latest wipe/install I performed. These older podcasts don't appear in Banshee to manage them.
Permissions are the same on the new and old files.
I can only assume that Banshee doesn't have an internal record of those files, so I tried the rescan library option which successfully imported all the non-podcast mp3s but not the older podcast files.
If anyone can suggest a. what might be wrong and b. how to fix it I'd be very grateful! I want my podcasts back!

Just tried file->import and selecting Podcast directory, they now appear in my library but not with the other podcasts. Strange behavior in my mind but at least I can see them now!
