[Solved] VPN using TCP tunnel

Hi,

is there anyone who knows solution to have a working VPN access using TCP tunnel in Fedora12? NetworkManager-vpnc seems not to support this, only UDP, i tried some patches for vpnc, but it seems it is not working, neither.

thanks for any reply

Re: VPN using TCP tunnel

Hi, sure

the thing is, I need to connect to different VPNs, sometimes using UDP, sometimes TCP tunnel, but when I tried to import pcf file for TCP into vpnc, I received this message and NAT traversal is set to UDP (what is default option):

TCP tunneling not suported

The VPN settings file '<pcf_file>' specifies that VPN traffic should be tunneled through TCP which is currently not supported in the vpnc software.
The connection can still be created, with TCP tunneling disabled, however it may not work as expected.

I searched for this on google, already, and found some patches for vpnc, but they were not working.

Basicaly, my question is, is somebody aware about some other application running on F12 to use this option for VPN connections, or is somebody aware about some working patches for vpnc or NetworkManager-vpnc?

Thanks

kuku

Re: VPN using TCP tunnel

Openvpn allows tcp & udp. There is a network manager for openvpn too.
The protocol is not compatible w/ vpnc AFAIK.
