I am experiencing a performance degradation of memory on the linux server and after some troubleshooting the only thing that appears to me as not normal is the spawning of too many SSHD processes every minute and therefore by the end of the day the memory is maxed out and the performance is slow.
I have done some troubleshooting but still no luck. I have uninstalled and re-installed SSH via YUM and no luck. I have modified the configuration file so that ssh do not start when system reboot is started and that did not work, even when ssh is stopped I still continue to see sshd's spawning every minute. I have used the netstat to see if there has been some hacking but from my limited experience it doesn't appear to be, I only see Established processes.
