How to switch out of XBMC?

I'm using Fedora14.
When trying XBMC, I find it always start with full screen mode. What's more, keyboard shortcuts like Alt+Tab or Ctrl+Alt+Arrow will be disabled so I can't switch to other window or workspaces. I dislike this. Anything could help?

I've tried command "xinit xbmc -- :2", but it get problem playing sound. Anything else I can do or how can I fix this?

Re: How to switch out of XBMC?

Hi sfystone

Do you run XBMC over any Desktop Environment (Gnome, KDE, etc.) or you don't have any DE installed and you run only XBMC on your system?
If you have some DE installed, you can jump with key "\" from the full screen (this key is located next to enter/return key on my keyboard)
You can change the full screen mode in XBMC menu as well. From the main menu, go to "System" > "System" > "Video Output" and change "Display Mode" to "Windowed" (valid for Confluence skin, don't know if the path is the same in other skins as well).
If you boot directly to XBMC and you don't have DE installed, you can reach command prompt with combination of keys "CTRL"+"ALT"+"F2" (or F3, etc.)
