Re: MPlayer and XBMC built with NVIDIA VDPAU

XBMC Dharma beta1 was just released a few minutes ago: http://xbmc.org/theuni/2010/08/30/fi...-dharma-beta1/
The version in my repository is probably very close to this beta 1. It was built from yesterday SVN: xbmc-dharma-0.5.20100830svn33332

Re: MPlayer and XBMC built with NVIDIA VDPAU

I've just rebuilt xbmc in F14 because of new libmicrohttpd version in Fedora.
Also:
- libbluray is now available in F13 and F14, you should downgrade to their version: yum downgrade libbluray*
- librtmp is now available in F14 (rpmfusion), you also should downgrade: yum downgrade rtmpdump* librtmp*
I'm not providing these packages anymore.

Re: MPlayer and XBMC built with NVIDIA VDPAU

Please note, that the repo file mentioned in the first post of this thread is a broken link (http://hansvon.homelinux.org/hansvon.repo).

Also, the rpms have moved to: http://bweb2.kek.jp/users/jwicht/priv/fedora/ but the first post doesn't mention that.

Sorry, the repo file got deleted at some point. hansvon.homelinux.org is a link to the new place. It doesn't matter.

Re: MPlayer and XBMC built with NVIDIA VDPAU

Hansvon, have you stopped compiling the rpms for mplayer/mencoder with VDPAU?

It seems the last update was August 2010. Any plans to update to the current svn?

Re: MPlayer and XBMC built with NVIDIA VDPAU

Hey I know this thread is old, but I'm wondering if the repo still exists somewhere or if you are still compiling packages for fedora 12... or heck any fedora as I suppose it's time to upgrade.

Cheers!

Re: MPlayer and XBMC built with NVIDIA VDPAU

Sorry, I don't have time or motivation anymore. xbmc is also in rpmfusion now....
Fedora 12 is EOL since a few months by the way.
If you update to Fedora 15, be careful that gnome-shell doesn't work well with other opengl software yet. I had to move to XFCE to save CPU cycles and have smooth xbmc...
