Error: Cannot open socket: cant assign requested address Trouble making server

hi

i am trying to run Modelsim for VHDL simulation on fedora installed as a virtual machine (on virtualbox) on mac. The modelsim crashes with -> Error: Cannot open socket: cant assign requested address Trouble making server.

I am able to compile the VHDL code using Modelsim and its only when I start simulation then modelsim crashes. I am naive to the TCP/IP, OS issues. Can someone help me out.
