VMWare Tools

I am new to Fedora and I am running it on VMware Player. I need to install vmware tools and i have tried every method on the forums and web i can. I am still unable to load vmware tools I get this message:

[root@DavesFedora vmware-tools-distrib]# vmware-install.pl
bash: vmware-install.pl: command not found...
[root@DavesFedora vmware-tools-distrib]#

I have even tried Chmod u+rwx to make sure I have the right permissions. Is there anything else I can try? Do I need to edit a file or add any permissions to anything else. Thanks

Add a ./ to the front of that command.

./vmware-install.pl

As an alternate, you can install the open-vmware tools from the repos

First enable the RPM Fusion repository, then

yum install open-vm-tools

Thanks for the reply. I tried ./ and got this:
[root@DavesFedora vmware-tools-distrib]# ./vmware-install.pl
bash: ./vmware-install.pl: /usr/bin/perl: bad interpreter: No such file or directory
[root@DavesFedora vmware-tools-distrib]#

I enabled RPM and install open-vm-tools. Thanks
