I'm running 2.79, the get_iplayer website doesn't seem to have been updated for a long time.
I can't find much about rtmpdump either other than this http://lists.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/...011-August.txt posted today
Update: I just downloaded and built rtmpdump-2.4 (the latest) but still no go

Re: get_iplayer stops downloading after about 55Mb
Hello
and thanks for the tip, I managed to get a 181Mb programme downloaded using rtmpdump-2.4 yesterday but no idea if that was just a one off.
I changed the line as mentioned and just did a successful 337Mb download
Just for future reference, where did you get the required information ?
For the linux users
su -
password
gedit /usr/bin/get_iplayer
or if you built it yourself
gedit /usr/local/bin/get_iplayer
the required line is 5826, edit and save

"Just for future reference, where did you get the required information ?"
This forum seems to be frequented by users and some of the developers.
Order by date is useful for new problems.

Re: get_iplayer stops downloading after about 55Mb
I tried that but I'm getting a different error message now, saying
"INFO Command exit code 1 (raw code = 256)"
Before it retries to download in an endless loop.
The URL I replaced was "h**p://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/10player.swf?revision=18269_19216" rather than "h**p://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/10player.swf?revision=18269_21576" but I assumed I just had a slightly older version, I couldn't find the URL specified here.
(**=tt, I was having trouble posting)
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've got some Torchwood that needs downloading!

You need to scroll to line number 5826
Once there it should look like this:

Re: get_iplayer stops downloading after about 55Mb
I tried that but I'm getting the same error message as I did originally. I'm using the command "--get --pid b012xnqw" to download. Could there be a problem with this?

Steffy here are the commands you can use on iPlayer
To force a download, use get_iplayer --force it --pid
For standard Flash use get_iplayer --type=tv --pid= --modes=flashstd
For higher version of Flash use get_iplayer --type=tv --pid= --modes=flashhigh
And for High Definition use get_iplayer --type=tv --pid= --modes=flashhd
So you want Torchwood Miracle Day: Episode 3 the command I would use is;
get_iplayer --type=tv --pid=b012xnqw --modes=flashhigh
It's important to remember that the iPlayer code b012xnqw is put after - -pid= so it looks like get_iplayer --type=tv --pid=b012xnqw --modes=flashhigh
I would recommend that you save the commands in Tomboy Notes or whatever you normally use.

Re: get_iplayer stops downloading after about 55Mb
I'm getting the same problems through the windows GUI - I've changed the get_iplayer.pl and updated the rmtpdump to 2.4: nothing seems to work... Any ideas?
