F16 beta, all updates applied.
1. Trackpad flakiness. When I click the trackpad doesn't work so I can't click-drag or drag and drop. Instead I get a contextual menu.
This Ubuntu
link suggests it should just work.
This Fedora>Mac
thread indicates it's a problem in F15.
2. Display is working without Catalyst drivers, so far, with one glitch which is a flicker at the perimeter of the display after the display goes from dim or especially off, to full bright. This behavior does not occur when running Mac OS. The flicker goes away after a short while (minutes).
3. Battery life is appalling, less than 1.5 hours completely at idle. Powertop is reporting three times the power consumption than for a MBP 4,1, reporting between 4W and 14W alone for something called "Audio codec hwC0D0: Cirrus Logic." I'm not sure what this is about.
Should these be bug reported? Or is it expected there's more upstream work being done regardless?

OK here is an Ubuntu
link indicating the same flickering problem, which for them goes away when using the proprietary driver.

With respect to #3 powertop is reporting the 14.8W consumption also as pulseaudio. But 14 watts is a lot of juice for nothing producing sound, or connected to the audio port. There is a red light coming from the audio port, but I can't imagine it's using 14 watts. Powertop reports 2W for the backlight.
