Enable SMART in BIOS or not!?

Hi all!
My question is: should i enable the SMART capability or not because it's disabled by default (mainboard is a Gygabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H).

Pros are propably more hd stats and bad news when drives begin to fail and have bad sectors!? Are there any cons?
