grub cheat code

Seems I need 'nomodeset' in grub options to get fan to run on my Toshiba laptop running F16-64.
Not sure how to get this in the config file so I don't have to add it manually every time I boot.
I have looked in documentation but don't see directions on this item.

A reference to the proper instructions will be appreciated.

Add it to the "GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=" entry in the /etc/default/grub file, then run

# grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
