Hello all
I have an intermittent problem (or it used to be until this morning) in that some times when I boot up my laptop (Del E6410) the external optical mouse performance is very choppy. In the past I would just reboot the laptop and all would be well. This morning that has not been the case and I am having to use the touch pad as a mouse because the usb mouse is all but unusable.
I am going to have a deeper look at the /var/log/messages and other log files now but thought if any of you good people have seen this before you could point me in the right direction.
Interestingly the problem only occurs after logging in. Before I log in the mouse is smooth, once logged in once thats it...poor mouse performance. I would guess that when I log in something is getting loaded that is causing a problem with the usb driver for the mouse.
Thanks for your help team.
Cheers
