Preupgrade from F15 to F16 was successful: minor issues remaining

As the title said, I have successfully upgraded my wife's Thinkpad T60 32 bit via preupgrqade. A couple of issues remain: 1) touchpad click is disabled even though it appears as enabled in settings (it was enabled and working ok under F15); 2) Default icon theme cannot be switched to any other. Any suggestions as to how to correct this rather minor glitches? Thanks.

Well, it was a selinux issue for both problems. I applied the solution provided in the following threads and worked like a charm, after a restart:
