The xorg-x11-drv-wacom driver should handle touch screens. If you have it installed and it isn't working you should file a bug. Touchcal is a utility for calibrating touch screens, I don't know it that will help ot not, but you could see if helps restore your touch screen functionality, or at least help you test it.
As far as the Gtouch driver. I don't see any documentaton or hint that it's open source. There's no code to look at, and, the only contact information on the website is an email address. I'd be wary of installing something that comes with so little information. I'd stick to the open source drivers, and address concerns to the bugzilla.
