Fedora 16 no touch screen

After fresh install of 16 on Dell Duo touch screen worked like a top, let system do all updates now no touch screen, what happened during update that has lost my touch screen?

hello I've got it working! on beta 17

1. Download the eGtouch driver http://home.eeti.com.tw/web20/eGalax...inuxDriver.htm

2. create a rc.local sudo gedit /etc/rc.local

3. Copy and paste this

#!/bin/bash
#
# /etc/rc.local: Local multi-user startup script.
#
#
setkeycodes e073 148 &
setkeycodes e074 149
exit 0

4. save and close then sudo chmod +x /etc/rc.local

5. install driver... then reboot

The xorg-x11-drv-wacom driver should handle touch screens. If you have it installed and it isn't working you should file a bug. Touchcal is a utility for calibrating touch screens, I don't know it that will help ot not, but you could see if helps restore your touch screen functionality, or at least help you test it.

As far as the Gtouch driver. I don't see any documentaton or hint that it's open source. There's no code to look at, and, the only contact information on the website is an email address. I'd be wary of installing something that comes with so little information. I'd stick to the open source drivers, and address concerns to the bugzilla.

Wow Easy9! I'm no expert but I bust my ass looking for a workaround for an active touchsrceen on the dell duo and was kind of enought to make an account and share with the commuinty. I did a quick search on "xorg-x11-drv-wacom driver" , the driver only work on Wacom tablets. The Dell duo only have a eGalax Inc. USB TouchController. I find it very offensive to discredit my work on a post know one care to reply to in a month.
