I have an ASUS N61JV-X2 notebook PC with Crucial 8 GB of dual-channel DDR3 1,066 MHz SDRAM and an Intel 2nd Generation 2.5" MLC NAND FLASH X25-M 160 GB Solid State Drive. I installed Red Hat Fedora 16 64 bit GNU/Linux. I also installed libdvdcss2 and K9Copy. I use K9Copy to make backup copies of DVD-Video discs that I purchased onto my Seagate FreeAgent Desk 1.5 TB USB 2 hard disk drive.
VLC can not play The Iron Lady DVD-Video. I copied it successfully using K9Copy, but it won't load the movie properly. I got the same problem with The King's Speech DVD-Video. I used K9Copy to make a backup copy successfully, but it won't play the movie.
Hugo and The Adventures of Tin Tin DVD-Videos are giving me the same problems. I can use K9Copy to make backup copies, but they won't play in VLC.
What is going on here?
How do I solve this problem so that I can play these movies?
What other software packages should I consider so that I can play these specific DVD-Video movies on my computer?
