how to start httpd at boot

once all I had to do was enable and start httpd in the services window

bet it has to do with the SCRIPT

Now at boot I have to enter
service httpd start

Fedora 15 and later...

systemctl enable httpd.service
systemctl start httpd

My guess is that the Services tool probably handles just sysvinit services. Starting from the introduction of the systemd init system in Fedora 15, sysvinit services' boot scripts are gradually being replaced by systemd units.

At least systemctl can manage both sysvinit services and systemd units.
