Question Boot help?

I'm trying to boot from EITHER my dvd or flash drive, but neither show up on grub. The only options that show up are Fedora and Fedora recovery mode. Is there any way to make my dvd&usb show up on grub, or make it boot from one of them by default?

I was on F15 until a few days ago, by the way. Now I'm on F17. My dvd and flash drive showed up on grub then too.

Re: Boot help?

how did your DVD drive appear on Grub is something I can't comprehend.

I never thought it was possible.

If you want your USB drive with a OS to show on grub, try

Code:
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg

Not sure about dvd or flash drive in grub

But usually there is a key (sometimes F12) you strike when turning on your machine that shows your hardware boot up options (like selecting dvd drive or usb port).

Re: Boot help?

If you want to make this permanent then you could edit the boot order in your system's BIOS.

But then it would try to boot from the DVD drive every time there is a disk in the drive ;-)
