[SOLVED] how to install easylife

I'm trying to get flash working or a reasonable alternative.

The easylife download went to my desktop, but is not found by the terminal.

Code:

# su -c "rpm -Uvh easylife-*.noarch.rpm"
error: File not found by glob: easylife-*.noarch.rpm

# yum install easylife
Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit
Setting up Install Process
No package easylife available.
Error: Nothing to do#

Suggestions are much appreciated.

Did you 'cd' to the location of your downloaded file? BTW, if it's the only .rpm at that location, then (as root) 'yum install *.rpm' will work just fine.

Right click on the RPM file, and select "install with Software Manager," not Apper. You will have to input the root password twice to install the file.

They installed. However, youtube videos are still not working full screen, and are slow on regular screen.

The computer is a dell infinity that my friend got a month ago, and had me install F 17 32 because windows kept crashing.

YouTube videos work with HTML5 now ;-)

What kind of graphics chip do you have?

Also try Memtest86+ if it's still crashing.

I don't know what kind of graphics chip he has.
The computer is not crashing, just the video stops moving with full screen.

Update:
I found easylife under system in the menu this morning, just before returning the computer.

Easylife loaded flash right away, and it works!!!!!!! Awesome! Thank you very much everyone for your comments and guidance.
I don't know why, easylife didn't work from the desktop, but it sure did from the menu.

They kept commenting how nice the the screen is now (I loaded a blue LXDE image), were amazed with the features and kept commenting how fast it was.
They asked me again if windows was still there, and I said "oh no, it is gone... forever gone... and never to return." They laughed. What a relief for them to get rid of it.
