My ethernet connection (eth0) seems to work fine, with just one problem: I cannot deactivate and reactivate the connection: When I try to reactivate I get the message: "Cannot activate network device eth0!" and a message that something's wrong with the IP information. Though the "Network Monitor" claims that the device is receiving.
The more serious problem is that I cannot get my wireless card to work. I think I have installed the package correctly - "rpm -q ipw2200" produces "ipw2200-1.0.10-36.rhfc4.at". When I try to activate the wireless device I get the "Cannot activate.." story a whole range of "interface 'dev(some number)' not found". The dmesg says that the "Radio Frequency Kill Switch is On". Is the solution to switch this one off? ..how?
I'd be very happy for help with any of the two problems
