Dual screen / Extended desktop

FONT=Book Antiqua]Hello all,
I've got FCR5 running on my Toshiba M45. Every thing eventually works (including wireless) but I am used to having two screens and used to use the "extended desktop" function on Win XP. How can I do that with FCR5? When I use the Tosh function key the external screen becomes unreadable with lines.
Thank you very much[/FONT]
