SMB and XP SP2

I have a windows XP sp2 box and a FC 5 box with samba setup on it.
Right now i can write to the XP share and copy files from the XP box to the FC box.
The issue im running into is copying files from XP to the FC box
I get error

Cannot copy <filename>:Access Denied
Make sure the file is not write protected or in use.

Side bar i think it is permissions...... i can write files to the home directory to the user im logged in as. I need a like kick in the pants on what to look for and where... Thanks
