Default profile

Hi all.

i want to create a default user profile on a fedora 6 system which is linked to LDAP. So i add a user, made the settings, ordered the icons and copyied the home files to /etc/skel. If i log on a new user the settings (background) are available. OK but the desktop icons now are not sorted (all on the left side). Does anybody know how to realized this? Is this the wrong way?

THx
