Fedora 8 - sound card detected but no sound

Hi,

I have installed Fedora 8 on my Lenovo 3000 N200 laptop and the installation went smoothly. Wireless works fine, everything is cool except that i hear no sound at all. My soundcard HDA Intel is detected but when I try to play a sound I can't hear anything. I have read some posts about how to configure Pulseaudio but i am not sure this is the source of the problem because I already had this problem on Fedora 7 with this laptop. I fixed it by following the instructions in this post : http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/...ht=lenovo+N200

But with Fedora 8 it doesnt help, here is some informations, thanks in advance for any help

Code:
[gert@nuxtop ~]$ aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: ALC861VD Analog [ALC861VD Analog]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 6: Si3054 Modem [Si3054 Modem]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
/etc/modprobe.conf
Code:
alias eth0 tg3
alias scsi_hostadapter libata
alias scsi_hostadapter1 ata_piix
alias scsi_hostadapter2 ahci
alias wlan0 iwl4965
options snd cards_limit=8
alias snd-card-7 snd-usb-audio
options snd-usb-audio index=7
