Any good dictation software?

Hi, I have disability and sometime have issues spelling. I know theirs spell check. Just want some thing more. I am coming from an apple computer. I have been using the dictation software with OS X. Does anyone have a recommendation for a software. I can use? I really need one.

Yup - get a new Mac.

The Apple dictation software works so well because much of the processing is not done by the Mac itself, but by online computers provided by Apple.

You do know that macs have a feature. That allows you to download the dictionary or something. That they use for compiling your speech into text offline. Their has to be a alternative available for Linux?

I tried Dragon Naturally Speaking and Via Voice decades ago and they were both terrible. Those were the best there was.

A quick search found these two, which may be cross platform:

There is a Dictation app for Chrome browser:

And there is Google Docs Voice Typing:

and it seems to be the same thing actually. Probably the best you can get for free that may work on Linux.
