Hey, i've been trying to get Fedora 5 installed on my computer but its not working. After setup probes my video card (ATI 9600), it starts X Server (1..2..3) and it goes to a black screen. If i move my mouse after a couple of seconds an 'X' appears as my pointer, but I still have a black screen. At this point, everything stops. My ram stops being accessed (I have lights on my ram that flash when its accessed and they have no activity) and the DVD stops being read.
Its not a problem with the dvd because 1. Fedora setup tested it and says its fine, and 2. I also tried with the cd version and the same thing happens.
some info about my system is:
AMD Athlon64 3200+ Processor
ASUS K8V DELUXE Motherboard
1 SATA RAID array, 1 IDE RAID array, and 1 solo IDE hard drive (which I will be installing linux to)
I also tried installing in text mode but it hangs at the same spot. If anybody could help me out I would really appreciate it, cause im stumped. Thanks
