Question Launching an application on startup in FC5

Hi All,

I am trying to set up an application (vmware-toolbox for example) to run on the session startup.
I have searched both the GNOME help and KDE help and couldn't find the way to do that.

VMWare documentation for Linux guests suggests opening the Main Menu on GNOME, then selecting Programs->Session->Settings->Startup, and then adding the vmware-tools there.

These menu items are not present in my GNOME.

Please help.

Amzuk.

None of the suggested worked. Are packages missing?

Shams and Unamaniac, thank you for the replies.

None of the sequences are present on both of the desktops (GNOME and KDE).

Could this a consequence of the unistalled packages?

By the way, why when I try to run the Perut (the Package Manager) it requires internet connection rather than going to the DVD with the intallation .ISO image?

try this (just to get around the menu) run "gnome-session-properties" in a terminal to edit your gnome session. In KDE, I believe that the session properties are on the control panel. Of course, Gnome sessions don't effect KDE and vice/versa.
