is there a way to configure additional keyboard/mouse buttons?

Hello

I have Logitech cordless desktop keyboard and mouse , they both have additional buttons (multimediaand shortcuts on the keyboard , wheel button and thumb button on the mouse)

is there a way or utility that can setup and bind those buttons to actions?

when i had ubuntu - it did setup some how some of my keyboard buttons ...

Check LinEAK http://lineak.sourceforge.net/. Ubuntu has this app included by default.

In Gnome use "System" > "Preferences" > "Keyboard Shortcuts". Scroll to the function you want and hit the key you want to initiate that function.
