H264.ts 1080i Playback

Trying to get this file to play, I have most media formats covered, but can't play this in xine, mplayer or vlc.

Is there a codec I need? (I have installed the win32 codecs).

I have a similar problem with Microsoft's HD Video sample files, for example "The Magic of Flight.wmv" will produce an error message along playing the stream "too many video packets in buffer" and turn off the sound.

Any help on how to fix this problem is appreciated.

BTW, I noticed that mplayer complains about not being able to set a parameter in a file /dev/rtc (or similar). It suggests to put the value 1024 in their, but can't access the file.

To be honest I was messing with it last night and I think there is an error on the file, it bugs out in vlc in windows (which work with other ts files).

Will investigate with the HD samples and get back to you.

I would advise against downloading an .exe file off the internet, it may contain viruses.
