terminal shortcut

Is there a shortcut to open the terminal in gnome?

Or are there shortcuts to browse through the menu's to open the terminal that way?

I currently don't use GNOME but as I know you can find under Konsole or xterm...

System >> Preferences >> keyboard Shortcuts

scroll down the window a little bit, u will find a field called: “Run a terminal” .. Press the “Disable” beside it.. and then hit a key that u will assign the terminal into it.. “I use F3”.. then press “Close”.. now whenever u press ur key “Or F3 in my case”, the terminal window will open..
