add menu item to gnome desktop context menu

Aas the title suggests, I want to adda menu item to my r-click menu. right now i habe a nautilus script that works for me but not on the desktop and i would really like to have it have its own menu place. I have looked at the nautilus open terminal src files but its greek to me. Looked at the src rpm to see how it is installed and its not clicking. Any ideas out there on how to hack this ?
