Session restore, doesn't?

All,
I have not been unable to find where FC5 has a restore sessions options. When logging out with open windows and then logging back in FC5 displays a clean desktop. I kinda liked the "restore whatever the heck was open before you logged out" option that I have seen in other OS flavours. Is this a Desktop thing as in Gnome versus KDE or is there an option that can be toggled in System/Preferences/More Preferences/ Sessions or anywhere?
Thanks in advance for any help
Bob

I don't know how to do it in Gnome either, but I know it's different. Duh? What i mean is it saves session in a different manner than KDE. (or at least used to) Some people were complaining about saving a session with some app running and then wanting to get rid of that app starting at some later time was difficult (if not impossible). That may no longer be the case as I haven't seen it for a while.
That said (I don't use gnome so you will have to research for yourself), try
Code:
man gnome-session
and
Code:
man gnome-session-save
