Re: Laptops running Fedora report
Model: Schenker XMG P502 ( aka "Sager NP9130" aka "Clevo P151EM1" ..I guess )
Videocard: intel HD 4000 + discrete ATi Radeon HD7970m
Network: intel-LAN, WLAN bigfoot wireless lan killer N1102 (without bluetooth)
Wifi: N/A
Bluetooth: N/A
Webcam: ? but works out of the box after switching on with hotkey
Touchpad: synaptic
Hotkey (Home, Eject, Suspend ...): touchpad-on/off, lcd-on/off, mute, sleep/wakeup, volume-down/up, external-display-switch, lcd-brighness-down/up, webcam on/off, BT-on/off, WLAN on/off
Display: 1920x1080
OS: Fedora 17
Kernel: 3.4.4-5.fc17.x86_64
Suspend on Disk: not-tested (not available on power-settings and user-menu)
Suspend on RAM: tested (wont detect deactivated GPU on wakeup)
Comments: everything works out of the box except for: Hotkey lcd-brightness-down/up, hibernate not available, discrete 7970m gpu is not going to idle/off mode when not used so fan is at full throttle with gpu-power-consumption, poor battery lifetime due to "bad" device-power-configs (->powertop) and missing kernel parameters and SSD-tweaks like "noatime" etc (after all "tweaks" battery-life is when unplugged and dimmed to mininum at normal use (e.g. webbrowsing) >3.5 hours, before <2 hours), when trying to switch over to discrete GPU and restarting gnome session the system freezes
