Fedora Core 6 Live CD Grub Prompt

Hi,
I am totally new to using Linux and wanted to try the Fedora Core 6 Live CD before attempting a full install. The disc loads up and runs fine on my desktop computer but when I try and run it on my laptop it comes up with a grub prompt. Are there any commands I can enter to boot from the CD or will my laptop simply not run it?

If the Live CD does not work would I not be able to do a full install on the laptop?

Current OS is XP
1200MHz Processor
512 Memory
60GB Hard Drive

You should be able to just press return at this point...

also you should be able to do an install.. what make/model is the laptop?

I tried hitting enter but no job. It boots straight to fedora when run on my dekstop.

The laptop is an iFriend (no laughing please!)

Used many other live CD's without problems.
